Eight years later the College of Agriculture was founded at the Uni- versity. ' The Agricultural Experiment Station, a divi- sion of the college, cooperates with local farmers, committees in developing the farm and farm home in every Missouri community? Edwin A. PAUL OGDEN ENGINEERING The 'School of Engineering, headed by Dean Harry A. Curtiss, doubled its prewar enrollment to 1500 students this year. In 1856 the school began classes in conjunction with the School of Agri- culture, and offered only Civil Engineering. Then, in 1877 the department, having grown steadily in prestige, outgrew the School of Agriculture and formed the present School of Engineering. - Professor Mendel P. Weinhach, Who gave 42 years of service to the science of electrical engineer- ing died March 29, 1947. Prof. Weinbach was born Nov. 2, 1887 in Burnania and received Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri in 1904. ' PROF. M. P.
