In the first game of the season the alumni furnished the opposition. The twenty former players who returned for this event proved to be too strong for our boys, who were badly outclassed and came out with the short end of a 14-0 score. On the following Friday the Freshman Team from Concordia College played our team in the second game of the season. Very much heavier than our boys, they pushed the Aggies all over the field by force. Three touchdowns in the first half and three more in the second half brought the score to 39-0. The homecoming game was played against the boys from the Agricultural School of Curtis, Nebraska. The Corn-Huskers made one touchdown after another against our team. The boys were fast and hard to tackle, and succeeded in running up a score of 63 against our boys.

The first game of the season to be played away from home was the game with the Crook- ston Aggies. In the first quarter neither team scored, but the boys from Crookston took a sudden spurt in the second quarter and made four touchdowns. In the second half the Aggie team made two touchdowns to Crookston’s one, and the boys were forced to return to the cam- pus without Ossie. The Grand Rapids team came here determined to give us a hard battle. Our team, too, was set on winning. Both teams played clean, hard football, and the result was an interesting game to watch. Morris made a touchdown in the first quarter and another in the last four minutes of play. Grand Rapids made one in the last quarter, and the game ended Morris 13 and Grand Rapids 6. Our team wound up the season by defeating the Morris High School 20-6, with the Aggies making three touchdowns and converting three extra points. The high school scored one touchdown.
