Several freshmen have responded to the call for debaters. Although they will very likely fail to make the team this year, they will gain some valuable experience. Many others are taking an active part in the musical organizations in school. Others are members of the Rifle Club. Hero Maertens and Kathryn Kay represent the class on the Student Council. On December 16 the freshmen held a hard-time party in the Dining Hall, at which they demonstrated their ability as square dancers. Another social event of a similar nature is planned for the winter term. The Class of 1941 promises to be an active group who will make a decided contribution to the progress of the school within the next few years.
