The Old Chapel officially houses the Liberal Arts Department — class-rooms, cubby-hole offices, seminar room, and auditorium. The chimes in the Old Chapel tower punctuate the day ' s activities and will always be associated with Shake- speare, American government, and with the horrors of Public Speaking 29. Adjoining the Chapel is the more pro- saic Memorial Hall — the home of aim- less people, busy people, different and diffident people. . .It accommodates ves- pers, religion, the music department, the CoUe( ian, the 1941 Index, the Alumni Office, and even bowling alleys.
