Honorably discharged on account of disability, January 21, 1865. Appointed Second Lieutenant in the Veteran Reserve Corps, March 25, 1865. First Lieutenant and Captain by brevet, March 13, 1865, for gallantry in the battle of Petersburg, Virginia, July 30, 1864, where he was severely wounded.
