DEDICATION We dare to call him Jake, but only out of great respect and love. Perhaps no figure on the Maryland State College campus commands the affection of the student body as does Jake. For nearly a quarter of a century he has served the college as Profes- sor of Languages, and until his accident in April, 1965, as Director of Public Relations and Placement. After six months of recuperation, Jake has returned to campus and can once again be seen making his way among his familiar haunts. A man of less energy might still be bedridden, but not Jake. A resident of near-by Camden and a native of Panama, the nation- ally known sports-writer and enthusiast is especially respected on the Eastern Shore. Having gradually regained his strength through the year, Jake is again his vigorous young self and is always ready to give vital information on most areas, art or athletic. Any moment with Jake is most rewarding. Ask him one day about the C Formation! The energetic educator has always taken the betterment of MSC as his predominant theme, and the college is a finer institution be- cause of his efforts. We wish that many future classes will benefit, as we did, from Jake ' s contagious good humor and friendly wisdom.
