HONORARY SENIOR CLASS PRESIDENT DR. JOSE DIAZ Assistant Professor Department of Restorative Dentistry To a bewildered Junior, clinic is, at best, confusing. Once we got our units on and our chairs upright, we were often faced with questions that G.V. Black would be hard put to answer. Any sign of help from a Senior or faculty member was greatly appreciated. Throughout our clinic years there was one man who was a constant friend. There was one man who gave up lunch time, break time, and private time to stand with us. We would gladly make him a member of our Class, computer number and all , but we feel that other classes should benefit from his com- passionate and excellent instruction. We are proud to announce our Honorary Senior Class President, Dr. Jose Diaz.

SENIOR CLASS REFLECTIONS Hay den-Harris Hall was at long last completed and dedicated during 1970-1971. Along with the new School came new ideas and concepts of teaching. The Class of ' 71, the first graduating class from this new facility, has experienced clinical and academic courses in both the old and new schools. We have helped initiate the new equipment, put up with the old equipment, and, wherever necessary, have innovated our own equipment (Boil-out units). The Class of ' 71, at times in the past four years, has been classified as straight guys by the lower classmen, radicals by the faculty, and missing by the Department of Community Dentistry. Skit Nights have been dominated by the Class of ' 71. Our freshman year, we should have won; our sophomore year, we did win; last year, we almost won; and this year, we ' re not keeping score. With such a commanding record, we list for posterity out skits of My Fair Freshmen, Cramalot, and What the School Needs Now. We have seen the addition of a Dental Hygiene Program to the School, a new lounge which is smaller than the locker rooms, classrooms with soft seats, a new coke machine that is worse than the old one, and a system of lights for calling instructors which has baffled, if not completely destroyed, even the most logical military minds. Our Class now leaves this School to enter the dental profession as colleagues of those who have taught us these past four years. We have added something to BCDS, in spite of ourselves; and we shall continue to create the atmosphere and attitudes of personal understanding we desired as students. If we were not pleased with our lot, we should now remember those who come behind us and work to make our solutions to those problems a reality for them.
