By September, 1965, 7,921 of our predecessors had been graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. The Class of 1969 was about to make the School its home for four years. Through the attrition of these memorable years, the original number of classmates declined to 91. We ' ve observed many changes at the B.C.D.S. Among these have been the institution of a fresh- man and sophomore clinical program; the termination of requirements and the beginning of team supervision; the retirement of several venerable teachers, along with the birth of teaching careers for many young, energetic idealists; the construction of a new school building and the obsolescence of the old one; the banning of fishing tackle boxes an d the institution of Riley bags. We ' ve presented skits titled The Men from Plaque, Sounds of Clinic, A Man for All Lesions, and B.C.B.S. We ' ve also witnessed riots, patient cancellations, the Hong Kong flu, goldddd foils, and too many 8 o ' clock lectures. In reminiscing, it seems that we began dental school four centuries ago; yet time has passed by very quickly. Most of us have married since that September in 1965, and many of us now have chil- dren. Some of us are wondering what we are doing here and where we are going; others now know. Now, we are about to receive our diplomas and go our separate directions. We publish this MIRROR to commemorate four amazing years. This is our yearbook, presenting the Class of 1969, a class the School will long remember. iny
