he Senior lc aS6 I President John Golski Vice President J. Nicholas Leyko Secretary Carolyn Barclay Treasurer John Hathaway Student Senate Representatives Robert Carey Vincent Zugay From the time we began our dental education on Monday, September 18, 1961 we were officially known as the Class of 1965. The year 1965 seemed so far away, especially when we realized the work ahead of us. But all of a sudden one morning ninety- two men and one young lady awoke and it was graduation day — not 1963 or 1964 — but 1965. Somehow the days had fled by and we had passed all of our freshman anatomy exams (even Neuro), finished dissecting just as we became accustomed to our cadavers, and turned in our operative and crown and bridge endoforms for the last time. As we glance back, it seems like only yesterday when we changed from green-hornet gowns to clinic whites. We can remember the many hours we spent putting on rubber dams, all the appointments it took for the first few Class I amalgams and our shaking hands when we tried a mandibular block. As our year — 1965 — arrived, all of these tasks seemed like kids ' stuff. We were Seniors now, and had big problems — like 14-unit bridges, molar root canals with six roots, and pin-retained silicates. The senior year seemed to arrive fast and even go by fast. It was the year of assignments and cancella- tions, but most of all it was the year of graduation for the Class of 1965. l3
