3ltt ii mnriam KEITH G. LOWN We, the Class of 1961, will long remember our classmate and friend Keith G. Lown whose tragic death in February, 1960, brought sorrow and grief to us all. A native of California Keith entered the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery after receiving his B.A. from Fresno State College. During his three years at the Baltimore College of Dental Sur- gery we all grew to know and respect him for his dedicated devotion to his dental studies. His desire was to reach and maintain the highest professional and ethical standards possible. But perhaps Keith ' s most outstanding characteristic was exemplified by the number of friends he had who will always cherish his memory. His classmates elected him as one of their class officers and he was an active member of Xi Psi Phi fraternity. His was a philosophy that can best be explained by the following excerpt from a letter writ- ten by Keith shortly before his death: What do I really want? I really do not know what I want, but this I do know, I want to be outstanding. I want to be a credit to my wife, my family, my friends. I want to be liked, I want to be known, I want to be remembered. The student body and faculty mourn the passing of a friend. in
