Vachon As June approaches, we of the Senior class are looking forward with great an- ticipation to the graduation for which we have worked and planned for the last four years. When we entered the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in the fall of 195 3 the years ahead seemed interminable, but in retrospect, the time seems to have passed by swiftly. Nevertheless, there is much of the last four years which we as a group will long remember: our first clinical patient, the feeling of accomplishment that accompanied each completed piece of work, the fellowship inherent with four years of working and relaxing together. All of these and many more we shall remem- ber long after the frustrations and annoyances have been forgotten. Though in the future we shall probably be more appreciative, we are even now beginning to realize and be grateful for the comprehensiveness of our academic dental education. Our pre-clinical courses introduced us to basic principles, and the thoroughness with which our clinical instructors have instilled these principles has given us a solid foundation on which to build. Because dentistry is not static, but constantly progressing, we know we imist be able to build and progress as it pro- gresses. Our training has given us the ability to do so. Dentistry has given us its best and now looks to us to reciprocate. We hope that we shall meet its challenge as suc- cessfully as our predecessors. i 12 }•
