IN MEMORIAM NATHAN B. SCHERR, D. D. S Dr. Nathan B. Scherr, ' 22 (U. of Md.), of Baltimore, died on March 19. Born in Baltimore on November 2 5, 1899, Dr. Scherr entered the School of Dentistry after his graduation from the Baltimore City College. In 1934 he began his long association with the faculty of his alma mater, holding the rank of Instructor of Pedodontia. During the past several years illness had forced him to reduce his teaching from a half- time to a part-time schedule. At the time of his death he held the rank of Associate Professor of Pedodontics. He was a member of Alpha Omega, Omicron Kappa Upsi- lon, and Gorgas Odontological Society. Dr. Scherr was a highly capable clinician and had appeared on the programs of the Baltimore City Dental Society, the Maryland State Dental Association, the District of Columbia Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. As a teacher he was thorough and effective in his methods and enjoyed the enthusiastic regard of the hundreds of students who came under his in- struction. He contributed strength to the faculty during his period of service and was warmly respected by his colleagues. Dr. Scherr is survived by his wife Mrs. Anne Sandy Scherr; and his son Jack; two brothers: Alfred and Henry, of Baltimore; and five sisters: Mrs. Mickey Barnstein, of Baltimore, Mrs. Edwin Lazarus, of Baltimore, Mrs. Samuel Shapiro, of New York, Mrs. Nathan Friedenberg, of Baltimore, Mrs. Amelia McVey, of Wilmington, Del. ■{3
