JioHorary President OF THE Clais of 19 6 DR. YAM-HIN LOUIE It would seem the Senior Class has selected a member of the interna- tional set as its Honorary Class President this year. Dr. Louie certainly has a broad educational background: Lignan University, B.S. . . . Stan- ford University . . . Northwestern University, M.S.D., D.D.S. Possibly it was this background that created the wit that accompanied the sharp explorer during the sophomore operative lab. Among the twinkling yellow lights at the far end of the clinic, some- what reminiscent of the quiet placidity of a formal oriental garden, one could always find a pleasant smile and helpful explanation or suggestion. The Class of 1956 is proud to extend to you. Dr. Louie, this measure of our esteem. -(ish

Kisamore Historian: Marvin B. Golberg Student Senate Representatives: Michael A. Costrino, James P. Norris It seems only yesterday that one hundred and ten students cHmbed the three flights of stairs to the financial office to pay a bill which was entitled School: Dentistry Class: Freshman. Nov , having paid our last tuition, we are suddenly realizing that the long-awaited day of graduation is soon to be a reality. Looking back over the curriculum, parts of which we thought to be illogical and unimportant at the time of participation, we now appreciate the need for such basic, knowledge-impregnating courses. Even at the beginning of our clinical work we found that we had to draw upon this previously gained education for facts that might answer actual patient problems. We also must be grateful to our educators who, in their unjust manner, instilled into us the content of their respective courses. Yes, we finally can visualize the need for a program designated to mold us into dentists who would be able to face their professional future assuredly with the knov ledge and un- derstanding befitting such Individuals. Now that all of our days at the B.C.D.S. are at an end, we look forward to the pro- fessional years ahead of us, not with complete uneasiness, but with that warm confi- dence in the back of our minds that we have the best attainable training in the dental field. For this contribution, we, the seniors of 1956, would like again to thank our alma mater and wish it a continuance of greatness in the future years. ■{l4
