Sigma Pi Sigma Sigma Pi Sigma, the only national physics honor society in the United States, was founded in 1921. Some of the objects of this society are: to award distinction to students having high scholar- ship in physics and related subjects and to popularize interest in physics. The University of Louisville chapter was installed on a March 28, 1952. Membership is composed of active student mem- | bers, associate members, and alumni members. Beta Epsilon Circle, an outgrowth of the College of Cardi- nals, was founded at the University in 1943.
