l .r -5 9 l Dean Oppenheimer was special consultant for the work- shop for Presidents of Liberal Arts Colleges of the North Cen- tral Association last year, as well as serving as director of the Workshop in Higher Education for Liberal Arts Colleges at the University of Minnesota last summer. He travelled to Germany this last fall to attend a conference of Rectors of German Uni- versities and a conference of Ministers of Education of West Germany. While in Germany he visited fifteen institutions of higher education and was able to consult with rectors, profes- sors, and students. Dean Oppenheimer has been elected for his third three year term on the Executive Committee of the Ameri- can Conference of Academic Deans. Also during the past year he has served on the Commission of Higher Education in Ken- tucky to evaluate three colleges. Working on a study of the redevelopment contracts throughout the country has been the major project of Dr. Reuel I-lemdahl during the past few years. He is at the present working on a comprehensive study of the administration of urban redevelop- ment and renewal. With a research grant from the University of Louisville he has visited redevelopment activities in eight north- ern, three border, and eight southern cities. Dr. William C. Mallalieu has published his book on Bfzlzrh .R6C'072J'lf1'ZlElj077 and A7l767'ffd72 Policy, .1945-1955. It went to press this spring. The book covers British economic problems since the war, American foreign economic policy, the Marshall Plan and many other aspects of the question.
