His early career included Teaching in Mississippi counTy high schools and The UniversiTy of Illi- nois. Before coming To The UniversiTy of Louis- ville he was also head of The HisTory DeparTmenT aT Agnes ScoTT College in Georgia and served as Dean of The GraduaTe School and Senior College and ProvosT aT VanderbilT UniversiTy. PresidenT Davidson is The auThor of Two books, HISTORY OF GEORGIA and PROPAGANDA AND THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION.
