This is especially evident in the avid interest of the men at the engineering school who are keeping up with the progress in the missiles field through membership in the American Rocket Society. Activities of the group include lectures on missiles and ground support equipment. Besides editing and writing the bi-weekly newspaper, the staff of the Callboard also sponsors the Professor of the Year Award. CHEERLEADERS B-E-A-T, beat the other team was the cry of Hartford Univer- sity's cheerleading ten this year as they brought school spirit and color to the basketball court. A fashionable group, the girls, co- captained by Peggy Easton and Tina Matsikas, added a new touch to their uniforms for the season with scarlet weskits over matching skirts. They have included many new and enthusiastic cheers in their repertoire. For the first time the squad traveled to all of the away games with the team and did much to spur the Hawks on to victory. Ever loyal, they could be counted on to keep up the team's spirit during the most trying moments of a game. CANTERBURY CLUB AT HARTT The National Canterbury Association, sponsored by the Epis- copal Church, was established to provide opportunities for Epis- copalian students, as well as any others who are interested, to receive spiritual guidance and religious study. Activities include regular meetings, concerts at local institutions, a square dance, and other social events. The Hartt Chapter conducts its religious guidance under the Reverend William F. Starr.
