All organizations and clubs at DU have their ruling bodies, and the publications are no exception. The Board of Publications gently guides the editorial policies of DU publications and keeps and controls their budgets. The major job of the board, however, is to appoint the editors of the Clarion, K-Book and other publications. Members of the board include the head of the Journalism Department, faculty members appointed by the Chancellor and a majority of student representatives elected by Inter-School Council. nwmmmcBsums castisxvsmKBBaaiSSSmte

CALENDAR ANDi CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE Student government worries about attendance and finance of D.U. social events fall largely upon the shoulders of the Calendar and Certification Committee. Their task is scheduling the social events to avoid conflicts in time and place. The smooth management of the university ' s social life by this group of eleven students and four university staff members eliminates the confusion of impromptu affairs. This is the first year the Calendar and Certifications Committee has worked under the new system of A , B and C classifications of social events. K ' ' ' wmm

Clarion staff members prop their eyelids open, put on the coffee pot and prepare fo pound out the lalesl campus scoops every Sunday and Wednesday night. 30 The ever-present reporters hound the news sources, write up their stories and then wait for the explosions that follow any grammatical errors or misspellings. Warren Tomlinson edited an exceptionally fine paper this year after having been editor of the Kynewisbok for two years. Campus coverage of news has been increased, with the emphasis on stories that will interest the largest number of students. ::i;i!!i;!i!i:iim: ' iiUHillll
