Ever wonder who decides that there ' ll be no food in the student lounge or who is to run the bakery in the Union? It is the student ' s Board of Governors of the Student Union that makes all decisions about the operation of the Unions and selects the administrative personnel who will run them. The problems of the great new University Park Campus Union rest with this board. It was their responsibility for establishing new and untried rules for the Union and adjusting and revising these rules to make the Union the smooth, efficiently run organization if is today. The Dean ' s Advisory Council tackles the problems that face both faculty and students. This group is composed of student leaders, the Chancellor, Dean of Students, Director of Student Activities and what other administrative or faculty leaders the Council wishes to invite. The Council meets in a strictly informal manner; no minutes are kept, no motions carried — in no way is free, frank discussion hindered. Problems are solved; lines of communication are opened. This unique experiment in student government and student-university cooperation is sponsored by Omicron Delta Kappa, and the student members are members of ODK plus those who hold positions of leadership and trust in student activities.
