The Engineers ' Commission is the governing body for the School of Engineering. It is responsible for the planning and direction — and success — of such annual events as the Engineer ' s Ball and the Engineer ' s Carnival. This commission also underwrites the Engineer ' s Snack Bar. The group is only three years old, but it has become one of the most active governing bodies on the campus. There are eight members on the commission; the Engineering School Officers, class officers and the President of Arts and Sciences, because many problems that the engineers face are shared by the College of Arts and Sciences. In the three years of its existence the Engineers ' Commission has done much to establish cooperation and understanding between faculty and students and to integrate the activities of the College of Engineering with those of the rest of the university.
