BUILDING PROGRESS One important phase of our university ' s great post-war expansion can be seen in the fine, new buildings that have risen since the war. BOARD OF TRUSTEES It is this twenty-eight-man Board of Trustees that selects our Chancellor, our Deans and governs most of the school ' s financial affairs. The Board of Trustees must find the ways to make the new University Fieldhouse pay for itself and it is responsible to the Federal Housing Authority for payments on the new housing development and the Student Union. The board, with the Chancelor, the Deans and the University Treasurer, determines the University ' s financial fate. The board elects its own members in classes of seven each, for four-year terms. Between sessions of the board, its powers and functions are vested in a committee of seven, known as the Executive Committee. Bob Selig is the dynamic, hard-working President of the board. Each member is an outstanding contributor to his community, willing to devote many hours of his valuable time to the future of this University. Seated: J. Stanley Edwards, Alfred C. Nelson, I. F.
