From Theory to Actual Practice Accountrng Instztute at Engineers Club Since its formation in 1948 the Advanced Accounting Club has attempted to bridge the gap between the theory the accounting student receives in the class room and the actual problems confront- ing the practicing accountant. The bridge has 'taken the form of speakers from various types oi busi- nesses employing accountants. These speakers have come from the industrial and governmental fields. The Advanced Accounting Club has chosen as its project for the year the holding of an accounting institute which it hopes to convert into an annual affair. The evening session of this year's institute will be held at the Engineers Club and the speaker will be Mr. Maurice H. Stans, Vice-president of the American Institute of Accountants.
