Canteen and Flyer's Hangar furnished recrea- tion, with occasional Sigma Delt and Cabos picnics to add to the fun. Out- standing among ou.r leaders were Ellie Kurtz, Ioan Roderer, Kenny Trimbach, Ioe Mori, Bonnie Winckleman, and Ioan Hussey. Class of '47-melting pot, rare assortment of veteran young and the not-so-young, the Iohnr1y-come-latelys of We-were-here-whens who reminisce of the golden days of Officially, our class entered these hallowed halls in Enrollment was small then with coeds in a larger proportion Initiations and frosh welcomes every semester, sandwiched V-Days and the swift return of vets to their alma mater altered the pat- tern of our existence. Basketball, baseball, our lively Iunior Prom, the first Turnabout Tag , gave us a gay active year. The Red and Blue hit the stands with Charlie Seaman in the editor's chair. '46 and football-senior class standouts Schmidt, Pinciotti, Rudnicki, Goss, Castignola, Reichert, Zoul, Accrocco, Brant, McGuire, and Powers gave us a winning Flyer eleven. Active Rocky Whalen edited the UD News and headed the Student Council. Exponent chief C. King Bradow was youngest grad. We named Lee Schmidt, Milt McGuire, Ioan Hussey, and Paul Reichert our class officers. Proms, Military Ball, spring sports, dramatics, and-commencement: all before we had a chance to catch our breath. The severe black gowns, troub- lesome hoods, the long, long aisle, speeches, the sheepskin and--completion of our college days.
