of lie REV. GEORGE I. RENNEKEB, S. M. Page Ten The man who fills the president's chair is quiet cmd unassuming with an air of unrutfled dignity and poise-the Rev. George I. Renneker, S. M. These few attributes do not tell the whole story of the personality of our president. Behind this calm facade lies an untold wealth of charac- ter, superior qualities of leadership, and an unflagging interest in his fellow man. His long years of service to this institution well demonstrate these virtues. Father Renneker is in his third year as president of this univer- sity. He came to its helm in troubled times and guided its destinies with sure hands through a most crucial and trying period. The Univer- sity ot Dayton, in physical structure and enrollment, is larger than at any previous time in its history, and his efforts are constantly directed toward making it even greater without losing any of the spirit and atmos- phere that was and is U. D. For the University, Father Renneker means progress. He is no idle dreamer. He is a man with a purpose and the University of Dayton is reaping the benefits of his initiative. N fgrefuclenf niuemifg

ice- refiiclenf REV. CHARLES L. COLLINS, S. M. Give the task to a busy man and he will do it well-this is the saga of the many-titled Bev. Charles L. Collins, vice-president and dean of the university, -dean of admissions, examiner, coordinator of student activities, and professor of psychology. To him come the trials and tribu- lations of campus life, but responsibility fails to disturb his serene, im- perturbable air. An astute student of human behavior, Father Collins practices what he preaches - psychology. Student leaders have learned by ex- perience the advisibility of preparing their requests well before submit- ting them for his approval, for his rare discernment uncovers all hidden flaws. Faced with the problem of admissions andhousing in this over- crowded educational era, he has acted quickly and wisely to permit the school to accommodate a record enrollment. His spirit of cooperation enables him to work well with the many groups under his jurisdiction. In spite of his many duties, his office door is always open to those who want to consult with him on any problem. personal or scholastic. Page Eleven
