hve-year combined Liberal Arts and Nursing Course leading to the BaChEIOr of Science Degree as well as the diploma in nursing- In 1918 a professorship in Nursing and Health was established in the University. The dormitory 0f the School of Nursing and Health, one of the buildings of the new General Hospital, is a splendidly equipped residence and includes in addition to the usual living quarters an assembly hall. a roof-garden and a library. As a matter of historical interest and its place among similar institutions. the 501. W. Levi Memorial Library of the School of Nursing and Hcaith is worthy of special note. It was established in 1915 through the interest and generosity of Mrs. Charles Schram, formerly of Cincinnati. who gave one thou- sand dollars for the purchase of books and who annually subscribes to its support. Quite recently Mrs. Schram has offered to permanently endow the library. Since the reorganization of the school in 1916 various activities have been added to its regime. Many of these activities are the direct movement of the student body of the school; others are related to the general activities of the University. 'lhoday the School of Nursing and Health of the University of Cincinnati is looked upon as embodying one of the soundest and most progressive schemes of nursing education in the country. Its block system has especially attracted attention and has been endorsed by national experts in the held of nursing. Looking back over its history with a life period of but thirty-two years. the school may justifiably be proud of those things it has already accomplished; associated as it is with the General Hospital and the University of Cincinnati it may conhdently look out into the future.
