The straw hats of Metro men, selected for their service to the Uni- versity, manned the ticket booths and handled backstage traffic, as student entertainers took their turn in the limelight. While fun is always the key- note of the night, the Metro men use show proceeds for an annual philanthropic project. LAST FLING BEFORE FINALS-SIGMA SIGMA CARNIVAL On May 18th the UC armory iieldhouse was the scene of colorful booths, carnival bunting, and students contentedly munching on candied apples, as the men of Sigma Sigma, UC,s oldest honorary service group, treated the campus to the annual Sigma Sigma Carnival. This gigantic pre-finals cele- bration found UC males demonstrating their strength with sledge hammer blows on a junk car, while coeds tried their luck at booths featuring games of skill and amusement. An accurate shot is needed to win a prize at this booth.
