Auburn, who is also ihe Dean of Universify Adminisfrafion. ln his curriculum of ac+ivi+ies on campus, Dean Auburn has been influen+ial in fhe es+ablishmen+ of a coordina- +ion program wi+h rhe Board of Publica+ions. Besides fhe various financial affairs and problems which come his way, Dean Auburn served as secrefary of +he UC execufive commiHee, which soughl' approval of 'rhe Universiry bond issue. 1 The men behind +he scenes of whom we seldom hear are 'Phe nine members of +he Universi+y of Cincinnaii Board of Direc+ors. Upon +he capable shoulders of rhese leaders in ihe civic, indus+rial, and professional world res+s fhe responsibiliry of deciding maHers of s+uden+ and faculry policy. His brighl' smile, no ma'H'er how busy he was, helped make UC a warmer, 'friendlier place. We recognized him as a man well-equipped +o do a good job, for among his many al'- 'lribufes are his greai educaiional powers, his business abiliiy, and his quali+ies of leadership. He is a pracfical co-ordina+or of human needs, and his adep'l'ness in handling civic ma'H'ers as well as lhose of faculiy, sfudenfs, and alumni has long been admired. His office in +he Adminis- +ra+ion Building may well be called lhe mosl' imporlanl' room on campus. The building i+self denoles digniiy, from 'lhe sleep sleps righl' up +0 +he proud Grecian pillars, and righlfully so, for upon l'his nucleus depends each separaie college . . . and from il' slems a greai Universi'l'y . . . . .

You don l need fo loolc any farfherg Dean Roberf Bishop really is such a man! Jusf when he finds fime fo check up on all fhe men on campus is a maffer of consfanf wonder, nof only fo faculfy members, buf also fo 'lhe surprised sfudenf, who is firmly reminded of fhe classes he has cuf. ODK, fhe college synonym for leadership, besf defines fhis dean, who is fhe nafional secrefary of 'lhis organizafion, and edifor of ifs magazine. lf fhis isn'+ enough, he is one of fhe chief advisers for exfra-curricular acfivifies, including lnfer-Frafernify and Sfudenf Councils, Social and Union Boards. Dean Bishop is an- ofher big wheel , buf he has gracefully overcome 'I'his handi- cap and is fruly a swell fellow, our dean of men. DEAN LILLIAN M. JOHNSON Who says +here's no feminine gender of big wheel ? Dean Johnson has cerfainly proved ofherwise. If you have ever fried 'ro gef an appoinfmenl' 'lo see fhis busy Dean, you have soon realized fhaf a greaf deal of her fime is spenl' affending meefings and social funcfions of fhe school. She serves as adviser foifhe Sfudenf Council, Junior Advisers, Women's lnfer Dorm Council and Women's Senafe. Advising isn l' her only capacify, as she is a vofing member of Social, Union and Grienfafion Boards. She musf have acquired all fhis execufive falenl' while she was an officer in 'lhe Waves. Alfhough exiremely busy wifh all fhese, acfivifies, +he Dean has some- how found fime 'ro charm us all wifh her soofhing soufhern accenf, her cordial manners, and her refreshing new ideas.
