University. Cooperative students are required to obey all regulations of the company with which they work, and arc.- 5L1hjm't to all existing labor laws. They are paid for their work in the shops at the same rate as other 0111111031005. A new minimum wage scale has been agreed upon by co-opmuting firms, which took effect july 1, 1913. The new rate begins at hftct'n cents an 110th and increases. one cent an hour every year for students with no experience. These who haw: had previous experience are paid what their services are. worth. The University makes 110 guarantee ahuvn: the minimum scale agreed upon, but uses every effort to place students to their best advantage. The curriculum of the College includes Chemi tall, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Metallurgical Engineering. In 1912 :1 Bureau of City Tests was established in connection with the Engineer's Office of the Departmcnt of Public Service of the City, where. the. benefit to student and city is mutual. Medical Depart- ment became. the HDeparmtment of Clinical Medicine with the ineurporaticm 0f the HiV'iCtliC-Eli College of Ohio, founded in 1819, with the University in 1896. The. Miami Medical College, in response. to an invitation from the Board of Directors for euupemtiun in the years 1908-1909, merged its interests with those of the Medical Department in 1909. The college then created stands to-duy 215 HThe Ohio-Miami Medical College 01 the University of Cincinnati. Since 1896 the building on the Mehlieken homestead site has been used by the department; a dispensary. erected that year, is situated on the lower part. 01 the grounds. Plans have been com- pleted for the erection win new building in the vicinity of the recently finished municipal hospital on Bumet Avenue, which promises to open a new field for the study of medicine in this City. Through the eo-operation 0f the Board of Health, the public medical facilities have tmen open to the undergraduates for Clinical and practical experience.
