At Central State College we are proud to have people see us as we are-- the largest and most dynarnic college in Oklahoma .... the producer of more certified teachers than any other institution in the state .... a school faced with the problems which come with rapid expansion, but which continues to uphold academic excellence. . . a. source of artistic creativity and appreciation that spreads throughout the state. . . an institution whose athletic teams are always to be reckoned with. . . the major industry in Edmond. . . a budding research institute in science, special education and other areas. . . a college that is concerned with the moral, religious and social life of its students as well as intellectual training. Sewing as academic dean of the College since 1951, Dr. Joe Jackson goes over some ofthe many pieces of correspondence that concern the school. As Dean of Students, Dr. Charles Richmond is primarily responsible for the development, coordina- tion, interpretation and leadership of a comprehensive program of student activities and services. Deans Direct Student Programs 1 ln his twenty-fourth year at Central State, Dr. E. C. Hall, graduate dean, directs CentroI's fifth-year program leading to the Master of Teach- ing degree. Dr. Joe C. Jackson serves as academic dean, directing the entire curriculum of the school. Dr. E. C. Hall heads the expanding graduate program at CSC, and Dr. Charles Richmond serves as counselor and coordinator of student activities. Dean Wilma Armstrong is Dean of Women, and Alvin Freiberger is Dean of Men.
