The State Regents for Higher Education serves as the co-ordinating agency for all state colleges and Central is one of the six schools under the direction ot the Board of Regents for Oklahoma Colleges. Headed by Dr. E. T. Dunlap, the higher board deals in matters common to all schools, such as programs of study, serv- ices, finances, budgets, and state wide policies. The board t.. ,. ts. Q 1 . It is headed by Mr. V. L. Browne. G. Ellis Gable, Tulsa is chairman of the State Board of Regents for Higher Education. R. L. Crowder, Jr. of Tonkawa is vice-chairman. At Central State College we are proud to have people see us as we are-- the largest and most dynarnic college in Oklahoma .... the producer of more certified teachers than any other institution in the state .... a school faced with the problems which come with rapid expansion, but which continues to uphold academic excellence. . . a. source of artistic creativity and appreciation that spreads throughout the state. . . an institution whose athletic teams are always to be reckoned with. . . the major industry in Edmond. . . a budding research institute in science, special education and other areas. . . a college that is concerned with the moral, religious and social life of its students as well as intellectual training. These things and many more make up the image of Central State College. My congratulations go to the Bronze Book editor, staff, and sponsor for portraying this image to you.
