After a hard day of sitting behind a desk listening to unceasing lectures, the , student almost always heads to the Student Union to begin his period of unwinding or relaxation. The Union is his base of action. Here is the place where he usually finds a buddy to share his spare time. From the Union the fun seeking student may travel in many directions. One direction, and sometimes the most favored one, is toward the dorm to catch up on his sleep. But the more active student might hit the swimming pool, or find ci fishing hole, or even go bowling. 5' Probably the favorite type of relaxation of the male sector of Central's population is found in the pool room of the Student Union. Central does not offer a maior in pool, even though some men spend enough hours to earn a doctorate. The soft lounge furniture in the Student Union finds itself constantly occupied between and during classes.

Participating in almost every collegiate sport, Central men and women hold an envious record of titles and honors won. The Broncho football team has lead the Oklahoma Collegiate Conference for many years and last year went to Sacramento's Camellia Bowl to capture the NAIA cham- pionship. The basketball team seems to make a yearly trek to Kansas City to be represented in the NAIA regional basket- ball playoffs. Central Coeds have long dominated the female side of the sports picture. In state competition they place high in the areas of field hockey, volleyball, basketball, and soft ball. -J' 'l fin' Sim ii In li ,,.,11iTyj?fm:.,.lg,.gf3!it ii ,QQ 55 li, it 1 'mu Vv!11Q'Q 5 it .
