Before the advent at voting machines, the students voted in the conventional way, with Stu- dent Senate members handling the polls. ACTIVITIES The ideas and needs of the student body are focused to the ad- ministration through the student governing bodies. Elected and controlled mainly by the students, the governments work toward the betterment of the students and student facilities. Strong and active student governments are as important to the students' education as are the many hours spent listening to lectures and the hours spent in laboratories. These bodies provide the student with lessons both in democracy and in social contact. Through student-sponsored elections the student body comes into contact with the rules and regulations which they will live with after leaving college. Campaign signs and more campaign signs help the candidates get votes, but they seem of only passing interest to the Student Union customers. gi. 2 ' 1 1 , . . f Q P 'iw --, '45 i , X

'-,,,- .ff ...f- ' - Next only to the Student Union, the entrance of West Hall, newly completed home for upperclasswomen, is the most popular and coniested place on campus. From the grandfather of all buildings, Olcl North Tower, pictured on the left, to the newest addition, the Administration building, pictured below, Central State has expanded its physical facilities to meet the needs of an ever growing studentbody. These buildings are the physical part of the campus. When an alumni thinks of his college life, usually the first picture coming to his mind is that of one of the buildings. As varied as the different students, Central's build- ings span seven decades of architecture. The design of five new structures points the way toward a prosperous, modern Central State College. The newest building on campus, the Administration building, houses the Central State policy makers. 3 TV .- 325-5 'in , 1. . . , T . .. ,F -- c 1 -I f ggqisi-5 A- i!'.,ja:f3fv.-Q -T ,. - 3' ,,,..f4- ,. -.- .gg ,'T .wh .v-Ta, -.T-,515 'T . 4 ,- 4- i ,K V, jf P .,.!'
