aturday night ends the week fter a long week of classes and lectures, the typical student . has been 'working for the eekend'. Now it has finally arrived. aturday, a day of rest and relaxation, here. It has traditionally become a ay when most students can sleep un- l the sun has halfway completed its 'ek across the sky. This rest and :laxation now falls away to boredom, nd Saturday night becomes the :lease for the now well-rested udent. Saturday night for a semester has been filled with the weekly exploits of the UCA Bears football team. This year was to be no different. The Bears pulled off their fourth straight AIC championship and once again moved into the NAIA playoffs. Many week- ends were planned ahead to watch the team continue on in the winning spirit. When the fall was over and spring had come, the Bears were no longer there to fill up the Saturday nights of the loyal fans. Something had to be found to fill the void left by their absence. Christmas break did not do enough to fill the needs of Saturday night. That's when Little Rock comes into the picture. The lights of the state's capital drew many to the malls and nightspots to fill those surplus evening hours. Streamers, Charlie's, and Bobbisox, just to name a few, soon took the place of Estes Stadium as the 'in' place to be. Many students make this trek to Little Rock to find enjoyment in the company of many other students. Q the fall semester. Football Night. Penny Williams finds housekeep- ing is a real chore. 24 Student Life ilk: he advantages of on-campus liv- ing are the disadvantages of off- campus living. While living on campus, students have a better chance to meet new people and become more involved in activities here at UCA. Although, apartment living is much quieter and more private, great advantages to dorm life is always hav- ing an R.A. to help with any prob- lems and a security officer on duty at all times. ,ww While off-campus students have to drive to the library, classes, and meet- ings, on-campus students are close to resources. Students living off campus get by with having visitors any time they wish and they have their own bathroom ibut they do have to clean it themselvesl. Although the dorm rooms at UCA are very, nice, they just don't have that homelike atmosphere of a couch, a large refrigerator, etc. Q In ide and Gut ide of mpu Li in
