Student life is the part of a university that makes college worthwhile to everybody involved. Student life is a very complex chain of events that includes everything from freshman orientation to receiving the diploma. Life for some consist of the Fraternal organiza- tions that add so much spirit to the university. Commuters are a big part of the campus population. Many of them have families and are a more serious student. The enthusiastic Freshman adds plenty to a university because everything is new and exciting. There is a serious side to the Freshman with his or her horror of the first college exams. Student life is reflected in many forms. It is shown through the exuberant spirit at a Bear football game or through the quiet intensity of taking a final exam. The part of campus life unseen to everyone except the student himself is life in the dormitories. Here a family-like closeness is developed among students. They share their failures and successg they help each other with class assignments. They talk about that guy or girl they met that day. All these things make college life a little different from any other lifestyle. When a student leaves campus, he will carry with him enduring memories of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Saluting the home fans are marching band, flagbearers, majorettes, cheerleaders and stepperettes in half-time show when UCA hosts OBU. SIUIIBIII Life
