Robert E. McClure L. P. Crafton l Carl F. Quaintance Comptroller Assistant Business Manager ACCOUUTBVW Business, Financial Affairs SCA given federal construction loan A financial crisis rally at Robinson Auditorium in February brought administrators, faculty, and stu- dents from all state supported schools as well as leg- islators together to discuss funding. The purpose of the rally was to show the need of the schools for in- creased funding by the government in the areas of training aids, teaching facilities and building con- struction. SCA will have one of its needs met in the near future as plans have been completed for financing a new 52.3 million Health and PE complex. The building should be completed by fall, 1972. Financing plans were announced in late December as approval of a S6l5,000 federal interest subsidy loan was granted for the first SCA construction in 4V2 years. The loan is being awarded by the U.S. Health, Educa- tion and Welfare Department under provisions of the National Defense Education Act. SCA will be required to pay only 3 percent interest on the loan while HEW will pay the rest. Paul Douglas, purchasing agent, assists student loans officials with forms during registration. ,..i-
