Phillis Bear Microbiology Phillis Bear, Associate Professor of Micro- biology and Vet Medicine said she wished the students would participate more in their student government. 'iThe Student Appeals Board is set up so that if a student feels a real injustice has been done, such as in grading, any kind of capriciousness, or even housing, the student now has a place to go. It is a place to appeal if you really have a gripe. The students should endorse it and use it where appropriate Ild like to see the students take their senate more seriously. They should back their senators and their steering committee. If the students and the faculty work together instead of as adversaries we can make this a beautiful institution.

Russell Edmunds History Russell Edmunds is an Assistant Professor of history. His specialty is theAmerican Indian. Here he speaks about Wyoming and UW. The University of Wyoming is small enough so that you really get to know most of your students, but itis large enough to have many of the advantages of a big university. I enjoy the people here. Most ofthe students are down to earthf, Teaching and research are both important I enjoy teaching and I enjoy being in front of people. This is a Way of Hhookingn people into your subject. I use my survey class to make converts for the subject of American Indians. I am also interested in research because it enhances my ability as a teacher because I find so many interesting things which make the lectures betterf,
