Relaxing and Recreation Whether itis between classes, an empty night, or a lazy Saturday, Whitewater stu- dents find countless activities to fill time, relax, and enjoy. With a little money and work, hidden talents can be discovered at the Union, with billiards, bowling, or pin- ball. Video tapes, the Pub, quiet lounges, and bustling places to meet friends are all provided for even the poorest student at the Center. Not much is needed to make the college student content. Give him a frisbee, a football, a backgammon board, his TV soap and a good novel. Let him drift through a Saturday with just a few mel- low albums, or maybe a rowdy band at Starin Park. Point 3 student towards Wil- liams Center for a soothing swim or invigorating basketball scrimmage, or to- wards Friars' Woods for a nature-filled afternoon. Offer him some transportation, and watch him relax at Whitewater Lake, shop the Ianesville mall, or explore the small toWns 0f the area. Show him a cal- endar and observe his choices of plays, dinner theaters, movies, dances, contests, mini-courses, lectures, recitals, or exhibits he attends. Give a Whitewater student some free time. Don,t worry about what he'll do with it. It won,t be wasted. 28 Lifestyles
