As 1979 moved into 1980, UW-W students, with mixed emotions, fol- lowed. Life usettled, but never real- ly became routine. There were those days when superhuman will-power was needed to make that trek to Heide, or to actually concentrate on the blackboard 21 rows ahead in lec- ture. Piles of articles to read, speak- ers to hear, bills to pay, recitals to at- tend, and laundry to wash cluttered minds. College life went on. The new semester brought new challenges - new subjects to tackle, new classes to survive, different teachers to communicate with. Some challenges, though, just seemed to be a lot harder than others. To some, it was that computer class creating problems. To others, the job that had promised so much wasntt living up to expectations. Problems got you down. Yet, some force juggled events to balance Out moods. Lifestyles 25
