2 Ju It Isn ' t every year that WSTC has a cham- pionship football team. When the college does, it is only fitting that the MINNEISKA be dedicated to the Coach. Coach Ed Schwager came to Whitewater In 1942 after teaching positions in Dodge- ville and Madison. While in Dodgeville, he had a championship football team In 1934, and shared in like honors at Madison in 1940. During the war, he was a physical education instructor at the Navy Preflight Training School at Iowa City, Iowa. Our Man-of-the-Year received his Bache- lor ' s degree from Whitewater and his Mast- er ' s from the University of Wisconsin. EDGAR H. SCHWAGER (8)

I reside III The chief administrator of WSTC, President Robert C. Williams, has added a progressive note to the college, and had made it his business to know the problems of the college student. He has always been sincere and cheerfjl, even though he must carry the problems of the college faculty and students. Dr. Williams has served Whitewater as presi- dent since 1946. Previously he was Acting Presi- dent of Superior State Teachers College.
