Full wys he looks and many a prys has wonne For scholarship and bookes a score y-donne, For of the school he's president, y-eleped Salisbury. And the are 'teachers here both wise and merry. Of gentlemen and ladies halt a score, Well versed each in his own lore. Of students, too, th-ere are a goodly tliron g,' And ev'ry morn they sing a solemn songg lVel1 minden they each belle and gong, And daily study hard and long. For although hard w-oi-11 is not their del i glrt. Full well they con their- lessons and endite Essays war and wys. 'Each tries to please Instructors ' all and heed well their decrees. And when, their school days o'er, the Seniors go, Sad parting r-ends their hearts, and so In after years they think of days y-gone ' And through the mist of n1e1n'ry, one by one, They see familiar faces of old fri-ends, And times by-gone come troo-ping back and s-end Oer them a yearning for their school days old, And fancy paints wi-th heartless touch a11d cold Each loved place, each room, each well known hall, The campus broad, the ivy on the wall And hearts with longing deep y-lille' For well they love the school upon the' hille.
