FACULTY NATURAL SCIENCES Dr. Miller took over the duties of Dr. Merrill in the Geology Department. His hobby is photography. Mr. Langley also teaches geology in addition to geography, and is especially known for his chalk drawing. The President Emeritus of the College, Dr. Merrill, will long be remembered by all with whom he came in contact. His interests have always been for the College as evidenced by the large number of his personal books he has presented to the school library. Miss Sequin and Mr. Bolender teach Zoology, Botany, and Biology. Mr. McCarthy also teaches Biology and Nature Study. He is an authority on birds and trees of this region. Dqhteon

FACULTY • ENGLISH DEPARTMENT Miss MacQuilkin, head of tho English Department, is especially interested in English Literature, Drama, and Public Speaking. Miss Ohman specializes in Freshman English, English Literature, Play Production and Children's Literature. She likes to read good dramas. Mr. Vitz is an authority on old English, American Literature, and Poetry. He frequently judges debates throughout this section of the country. Period Literature and the novel are the main interests of Miss Cooper. Her favorite occupation, however, is the training of budding journalists through her efforts with the Peptomist, our College paper. Miss Deaton and Dr. Williams share the same office in the English section of the library wing. ThG former is primarily concerned with American Literature and Freshman English. FACULTY PHYSICAL SCIENCES In the Chemistry Department is Mr. Whealdon, who likes to recall by gone days. Visits to his cottage on the Brule are greatly anticipated by his friends. Mr. Schrieber, teacher of Physics and Physical Science, enlightens many on the subject of Astronomy by pointing out the stars, moon and planets through the telescope at the observatory. Dr. Rollefson is never too busy to take care of all aches and pains. Keeps an ever watchful eye on all athletic injuries and teaches Physiology and Hygiene. Mr. Weeks, of the Organic and Inorganic Chemistry section, is also an important feature on our Athletic Committee. Is quite an announcer at home football games, too. Nln»l««n
