Viewed with mixed reactions by the audience was the quite unusual Meredith Monk and the House. The program explained: “The house is a group of artists, actors, dancers, and a scientist who are committed to performance as a means of expression and as a means of personal and hopefully, social evolution. Our work is full of remembered things and dreamed things and felt things and things that aren’t seen and things that are seen outside and things that are only seen inside. There are things which we don’t know about each other.” 16 1
