and he'll l)c lull. dark, and handsome. Much of the activity of the 1965 Pointer Jubilee was held in the Frank Lloyd Wright room of the University Center. It was in this room that various organizations such as religious groups, fraternities, sororities and other social groups constructed their booths. Each of these groups hoped they would be able to acquaint both new and old students with the people and activities of their particular organization. In this way students would be able to choose their affiliations for the year. The before mentioned booths were both entertaining and informative. The following are samples of some of the displays that were constructed. A “lovc-o-mctcr was sponsored by the Amateur Radio Club. It was at this booth that couples were able to find if they were ex-lax. average, mediocre, or playboy-playgirl of the year.” The Young Republicans held drawings throughout the evening. The lucky winners were awarded this year’s most exotic prize, a rat fink”. The International Student Organization had a fortune telling tent and Sigma Tau Gamma brought back many memories by showing slides of last year's activities. Alpha Kappa Lambda was another group that showed slides. By displaying extreme cases of water pollution and the number of deer that starved or were killed on highways they were able to point to the need for improved conservation practices. Large crowds were drawn to the College Theatre booth where movies that had been produced, directed and filmed by John Primm and Larry Klubakowski were being shown. A new' feature this year was the Homecoming booth. It featured portraits of the Queen Candidates and tickets were on sale for the finale program which featured the Village Stompers. The Gridiron room was turned into a Playboy Club for the evening. Soft romantic music played in the background and a number of college girls dressed as bunnies” waited on tables. For those students that preferred a faster pace, the “Temptations” provided music for the latest dances. This activity took place in the new Wisconsin Room. 8
