William C. Hanson If college buildings could talk, what interesting stories they could relate about the folks who have occupied their classrooms and laboratories and walked their corridors. That would be true especially of our old main building, — now sixty-five years old. More than three generations of students and teachers have been associated in its learning enterprises, — lectures, discussions, debate, dramatics, athletics, concerts, study, — some of them boring and dull, others challenging and entertaining and stimulating. Some great teachers and some fine students have graced her classrooms; and others not so great and not so fine, but we all leave our records within these walls, — our footprints in the sands of time. So when the old college buildings speak, wouldn't it be wonderful if what they say about our footprints could always be sweet music to our ears. President Hanson
