3ftt Hemnriam Whereas, Our Heavenly Father in His divine wisdom and infinite love has summoned to his reward our highly respected and efficient regent, George H. Martens; and Whereas, in the death of Regent Martens Central State Teachers College has lost an able administrator and a sincere friend; and Whereas, we fully realize the loss which has come to our entire community and to this state in the passing of a man who in his daily living most truly exemplified the ideal American; and Whereas, we shall ever remember him as a man of strong convictions, unselfish in all relationships with his fellow men and as conscientious in the performance of every act as though it were his last; therefore be it Resolved, that we as a faculty express our deep admiration for and our sincere appreciation of Mr. Martens; and be it further Resolved, that we express our heartfelt sympathy to his bereaved wife and children, to his sorrowing father and other relatives, with a prayer to the Divine One that fortitude may be granted them in this, their time of grief; and be it finally Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to his family, to the Board of Normal School Regents, to the Portage County Bar Association and to the Stevens Point Daily Journal, and that they be included in the records of our faculty organization.
