Senior Closs Junior Closs Sophomore Class Freshman Closs MEMBERS AT LARGE Mary Carlson Dale Johnson James DiUlio James Murphy Mary Harris Gordon Olson Wesley Wcndlandt The Student Senate is the student governing body of the River Foils State Teachers College. It consists of eleven members, seven of which are nominated and elected in May by the student body at large. The remaining four members are the class presidents. This group acts as a representative body to present students needs and desires. The aims of the Student Senate are to promote the best interests of the college and to develop a spirit of cooperation and good fellowship throughout the school. The Senate receives an allotment of the Activity Fund and makes recommendations to the Senate-appointed Social Committee for its disbursement. This Social Committee handles all social events. The editors of the student publications (The Student Voice, Meletean, and Student Directory) are elected by the Senate from nominations made by advisors of these publications.
