This year, however, it has added a new feature to the regular Tuesday and Thursday organized sports meetings. Physical fitness, including calisthenics, rope climbing, and obstacle races, has boen stressed to a great extent. Also, tho W. A. A. encourages participation in individual sports and swimming. Members of the W. A. A. are awarded points for participation in sports. When a girl has earned 500 points, she is awarded a letter. Eileen' Anderson, Elva Cairns, Julia Patten, and Dorothy Sampson each received her letter this year. The group sports are organized, directed, and supervised by a sports manager chosen from the W. A. A. The sports season began this fall with speedball outdoors until the weather forced the girls to confine their sports to inside activities. The winter season consisted of hitpin baseball, basketball, and volleyball. In the spring an enthusiastic group again reported outside for softball. PINBALL Back row: Sanford. Sneosby. Salmon.
