wgdadicata... The ttfriendly college? . . . How many times have we, as seniors, heard this term applied to the college which we will one day soon call our Alma Mater? The ttfriendly college? . . . What constitutes a college of a friendly nature? Per- haps, it would be a better idea to ask who constitutes a friendly college. In choosing the personality for this years dedication, we have selected a faculty member who has been working for years to keep people smiling, a faculty member who has helped the college here at Platteville assume its friendly atmosphere. Mr. Harry C. Wilkerson has been on the faculty at the Wisconsin State College and Institute of Technology since 1925. During this time he has been a devoted teacher, a student advisor, and befriends those he meets. Mr. Wilkerson is known for willingly discussing with his associates the problems of the day, the hopes of tomorrow, and those tteveryday occurrencesii worth mentioning. The friendly, leisurely manner and the interest in his students has made Mr. Wil- kerson an outstanding member of this, our friendly college. In memory of his shin- ing example, the tifaculty friend? we the seniors of 1961 dedicate the Pioneer.
