During the year We attended special programs sponsored by the college and various campus organizations. Presidential candidate John Kennedy spoke to us on his pre-presidential primary swing through Wisconsing We heard dramatic tenor Charles O'Neillg We saw the Rod Strong Dance Quartette per- form, and We listened to U. N. Representative Widdington. Wevveighed the arguments of area political leaders when Norman Clapp, George Thompson, and John Bosshard debat- edg We tapped our feet as Doc Evans on the cornet and his Jazz Band gave us a capsule of jazz historyg and We were thrilled by the artistry of cellist Guy Fallot and his accompan- ist, Myriam Pascal. The spring of the year saw the program series brought to a successful close With the presentation of the opera Carmen and the music of guitarist Ramon Hernandez.
