ALICE GORDON if Jin Hlvmnriam FROM THE FACULTY Labor and love epitomize the life and services of Alice Gordon with her pupils, her friends and cofworkers within and outside the College, She was a teacher mother to many hundred, she knew her children for she studied them, and loved them, and they in turn loved her. Her standards of thoroughness and ideals of life were of the highest, and long will he remembered hy all who knew her. Her life, and memory of her many good deeds will continue to live in the hearts of all. FROM THE STUDENTS A true educator, Miss Gordon influenced and guided the lives of all her student teachers. She was congenial, helpful, and considerate. It is left for us to appreciate the ine things she did and to make our lives worthier hy practicing the virtues she taught us.

REXFORD S. MITCHELL An annual such as ours grows in value, acquires new meaning, and even changes character as the years go by. Now you find it a very interesting summary of the year-an album of those .with whom you have been closely associated, a record of events now vivid in your mind. In ten years every one of its pages will be unaltered, but it will not be the same book. It will be, however, still a source of enjoyment. It will bring back old friends and touch od' memories of the days you spent at La Crosse. Through its pages you will recall the events of these years but, believe it or not, you will see them in a diiferent lightg perspective does that. It is my hope that, as you turn these pages in the years to come, you will conclude that these years at La Crosse were experience worthwhile, and that this annual will serve to deepen your loyalty to the Alma Mater.
